Question: Have you always wanted to be an engineer?

Hi Hannah. Actually I didn’t really know what en engineer did when I was at school and applying for university – I mean a knew some of the things they did but I was interested in space and didn’t think I could be a space engineer! Because of that I did physics at university and then discovered the world of engineering and realised I would probably enjoy that much more than being a scientist – I like to build things and be a bit more hands on – so I did a masters degree in Astronautics and Space Engineering which was a perfect fit!

The thing I found about university is that suddenly the whole world opens up and you see just how many cool things there are to do and it’s just the first step really in discovering what it is you want to do.
